General Aviation PJ-1, PJ-2 “Flying Lifeboat” (1932)

The PJs were designed for Coast Guard by Fokker Aircraft Corp of America.  They were called Flying Lifeboat and were large for the day. They had Coast Guard aircraft number but were also named for stars.  Five were built in 1932 – the last retired in Aug 1941. V116 Antares was later converted to a tractor design and designated PJ-2 (the only one). V112 Altair, V113 Acrux, V114 Acamar, V115 Arcturus
